Tucked beside the Briar Rose Beauty Boutique, our tattoo studio is a cozy, private space shared by a small collective of female tattoo artists. Each artist brings a distinct background and creative perspective, contributing to a welcoming and professional environment where clients can feel comfortable and cared for.
Our team includes artists at various stages of their careers — from dedicated apprentices to experienced professionals with over a decade of tattooing experience. This range of skill and perspective allows us to offer a thoughtful balance of artistry, technique, and personal expression.

Meet Our Artist’s
NICKI LOCHMATTER
Nicki
Nicki is an experienced tattoo artist with over 10 years in the industry. She completed her apprenticeship in Vancouver and went on to spend several years working in the city’s competitive tattoo scene before returning to the Comox Valley in 2024. Her time on the mainland helped her refine her technique and precision, but she’s glad to be home, where the slower pace allows for a more thoughtful and introspective approach to her work.
Her work focuses on black and grey realism, fine line, abstract, and painterly colour tattoos, often with a soft, surreal feel. While she enjoys working with a wide range of subjects, she has a particular love for animals, birds, pet portraits, mythological creatures, and floral designs — themes that allow her to combine technical skill with creative expression.
